Plants are looking great. The Hulkberry sure is a beauty, you’ve done her well! Loads of pistils pushing in there now!
Awesome new genetics brother I look forward to it, I’ve never heard of the Smoothie before!

The smoothie is a new strain for this year . been fortunate to be sponsored with 3 strains from them. needed another to go alongside to make a nice 20lt 13 pot auto grow worthy of the lights and space i can use. My normal photo pots are 27ltr which i struggle to squeeze in with their mich bigger girth. Seeing how autos wont get the veg time to fill them either , it made sense to lower the pots and up the plant count. lol
I think they will fit perfectly now. Thanks for keeping me company here mate. lol

I am a total Virgin auto grower so unsure of the way they really grow upfront and personal. I want to get the best i can to attempt to find a "keep with it" medium. Th e eco-thrive living soil is a step that way too. no nutes needed , just water alone .no ph issues ,ppm , runoff worries ,nutes changing to flower at the right time ect..Also only needs a tea recharge to replant another straight in too. so am excited to try that too. Blackberry is an 8 week total so should get me moving on the 3 out- 3 in perpetual farming if it is a winner. What do you suggest regarding the training with auto. have seen some auto quads done but not sure ?

I’ve only done one auto grow which was the Red Poison auto so I don’t have much advice to give, but I didn’t top them and they were fairly simple to grow. I top all my plants that I flower out, but never topped an auto before. Ace’s auto’s that he quaded are looking pretty great to me though so I think it can be done

Fair play for your honesty Irie. They are a little of an enigma to me at present. grew a pinapple ecpress alongside a photo grow and it grew amazingly tall and thick very fast. one single stalk with a screwed up bud at the top. I blamed the genetic withiut even realisiing how many errors were mine. lol poor girl didnt have a chance.lol
I see Dutchman1990 did quad his and ase too so will be re reading the thread to make sure i havent missed it. Did think maybe not topping but getting the merristem horizontal as soon as they can take a redirection, then Quad nodes as notmal but with merristem a 5th main. I think InTheShed did a similar thing for a photo to not lose any recovery time. watch thisnspace !!.lol

update day 9 flowering. She is stacking buds well already. I am so glad i kept her now. She is surpasing her mother by miles already. Nodes are nice and tight and i can see how she is going to form those nice fat cola bottle colas for me !!!. lol hoping the gods are hearing that affirmation. lol
Could not be happier with her to be honest. Well done the hulkberry. must have been my feeding mix for the multi strain grow in rdwc.

Day 13 flowering ( +14 days flip)
Here are the faith inspiring Hulkberry today. She is so opposite to how her mother was now that i dont think the genetics can be blamed now. Overfeeding N and not being able to tailor her ppm,s destroyed any chance of her producing well. I still got nearly 3oz but it was not the smoke i expected of it. Cannot wait to see this girls results compared. Her buds are stacking already at day 13 so i can see how she will be able to pack the size on for her expected bat sized colas.

I've ran AUTOs in soil only. Kill em with quantity. When I run them on my VEG table, I do 20 plants in a #3 square pot. All pots side by side take up about 1x2 meter table.

Get a nice haul with that.

Thanks Bob. That sounds like an auto sea of green right there. Seems autos have been created for this method perfectly.
I have bought 40ltres of eco-thrive living soil for 2 pots to see how it does. No nutes or additives needed at all for the whole cycle. wanted to try full organic again as my last run had 1 plant in soil trialing "Grow caps" . Always worried about soil as have grown hydro , coco, variations for decades but avoided soil ironically.lol.
plan is to do some side-by-side for comparison with eco-thrive ,nutes/coco and maybe a simple bucket dwc too. I have 13 Fast buds to do so have got 20lt fabric pots for them. I think they should fill my space perfectly with the lights footprints too.

I think the key with AUTOs is to get a good root ball going. I never am able to do that for some reason in soil. Everyone that runs nutes always gets better results than I do.

It is what it is, why I do the 20 pot deal on my VEG table. Each plant yields an average 1 zip dried, thats a job well done for me.

I think thats why i avoided it for so long, i am heavy handed and tend to drench water so coco is perfect for my "Shrek style" growing.lol
I think having perlite helps with moving roots and allowing them looser medium to search in but still has a tendamcy to compact and go solid for me. I am hoping i can learn more with the eco-thrive as i have been desperate to try "no-till" organic. Seeing emilya and other here getting on par results from this method has inspired the experiment. We dont have access to so many raw materials to build one myself so this uk made version is perfect. I am looking forward to trying it out now. Will be teasing the roots out to hopefully fill the pots with a good rootball now then. Coco will have no issues with it and i did wonder about a coco/eco-thrive mix too to help with root movement just not sure how well the coco will cope with keeping the herd attached when watering.

flowering day 26: This girl is motoring along at a good pace still and is not letting her breeding keep her from the race.lol
Node length is perfect and they are starting to put on a good size for their age. Hopefully all the mains will be baseball bats when finished. not a lot to do bow but wait and watch her change

I am suprised how much too much N during flowering can fuck up a plant. she had teally long node spacing and a shit 3oz yield for a 1.5m huge plant. He r smoke was not too impressive once jarred either. This little lady is making a fool of her mom big time already.lol

Day 32 flowering update:. The Lady has been steadily stacking her buds up ready for their big push to greatness this last week !!. well that is the hope. Her buds are stacking nicely on her many mains. She is not a monster in size but still looks a damn site better than her mother did. Have been keeping a look out for tip burn or issues specifically with her as i think feed strength is what svrewed her mother up. Actual buds are smelling sweet and she is certainly tacky now. I have moved her in to the middle to give her central stage for a week or so. hopefully she will start to fatten and lengthen her buds to join up and swallow some of the leaves in them. They seem to like the pk and show issues at all anywhere really. she is a longer flowering lady compared to the others and her size should shown in the last couple of weeks hopefully. Only took a couple of pics as it is harder to seperate them all without risking damage now.

Thanks Irie. 35 days flowering today. Stacking up well now. with the Gelato having to come out for her crimes , there is more room to open her up a little better. Leaf to bud ratio is high but if the budswell swallows them up as i expect then teimming wont bebsuch a nightmare.lol
