They are shockingly good Irie. On my barneys thread grow , i get rapid recovery times for major defol with them. I think results so far are great with them. I did another major defol and tie down last night but this girl wants to break out and is way past her original tied down placement. If the mother is anything to go by they get lanky tall from seed . Her limbs are kinda skinny but age has made them solid so should carry weight i hope. Here she is after the defol and breaking out again last nightHey GG! Thanks mate. after having 7 to start with , then losing a few to need of space ect. She is the last of her family now .lol. i half lost interest as her mum was a poor producer but had took clones. she is now getting my interest again. I had hopes for the strain but sadly lost faith but i am determined to have something decent from the initial investment. fingers crossed. Thanks for the comments.Looking full of life those buddy .
Thats my worry Higher. lol. she may ruin my plans of an even canopy. Think she will need some more ties after stretch has slowed . I didnt expect her to go so quickly as she has behaved so well over the last few months. Hoping to tip spread her to keep her nodes closer than her mothers were. They have shown really quick, can see these being like nuke heads!
I used them on my last grow , they are great when the stems are narrow enough but soon as they thicken up , it is difficult to install/remove them. I do use stem rubbing to soften them to angle 90° and will use a pinch/crush if too hard to work with though. Have done it on the Gz and Hulkberry now. They have decided to try to create their own merristems and i wont have that. lolGet some of those plant bends of you haven't already there great for putting 90's on stems without any worry they will make great plants .
Welcome back brother. missed your positive demeanour. hope you had an amazing time and have come back reset ready for business now. ?. All going great guns here. been an exciting few days with the stretch and getting them ready to begin the best bit ( Friday hopefully) Whats you take on defol @irie lion ? .caught in two camps at the minute.Hey GG! Cheers mate. it seems a standard to defol at certain times and have usually just plucked and defoliated as i went. Never did it to a schedule , just rough arsed stripping and beating. lol. Will wait till the stretch had ended as was planned but will give the 21 days a whirl but is that counting from the flip or from actual flowering mate ?.Thanks bro! It was a good rest and so it was tough getting back into the groove of things, but all back to normal now!

Regarding defol, i'm a strong believer in defoliation but it does seem different strains react differently to it - i also feel it needs to be done at the right time.
Sooo what i usually do - is a nice defol 2 weeks before flip to 12/12 to give it time to recover before bloom and that allows them to head into bloom with no tops being covered. Then i wait for stretch to end and usually do my next defol around day 21. I find if i defol any time during stretch it actually slows the stretch down so i avoid removing anything during the first 3 weeks of 12/12. After the day 21 defol, i do another one 3 weeks later probably around day 42. After that they are usually well opened up for the rest of bloom, and i then let them do their thing besides removing a leaf here and there that drifts over some buds
21 days counting from flip to 12/12is that counting from the flip or from actual flowering mate ?.
sorry irie you did say in previous post. thanks. doesnt seem so far off now. lol21 days counting from flip to 12/12
