Why doesn't 420 Magazine have a chat feature?

Presently the Mod Staff is charged with reading all public posts and visitor messages to ensure they are free from guidelines violations. Every violation has to be edited/deleted and the member advised, in order to ensure the site isn't shutdown for allowing hookups, or for other problems.

Furthermore, we don't have the staff to expand our scope of work to include reviewing IRC chat logs, and the real time nature of the chat feature is inherently at odds with what we must do to keep the site in good standing.

Why can't I form a co-op or collective on 420Magazine.com?

The law is still pretty fluid in the area of Co-ops and Collectives and our lawyers have advised us not to allow the website to become a defacto participating party in the organization of any co-ops/collectives.

We consider it most unfortunate that depending on organizational details, legal interpretation, and political mood/will, it is possible for storefront dispensaries to be considered legal by some and illegal by others. This is why our mission is so important to us and why we must be ultra careful with the enforcement of our guidelines, thereby ensuring the fight goes on.
