Why can't I post a negative review about my experience with a company or collective?

The issue is that rival companies also sometimes pretend to be customers and defame/libel their competition. There's no way to tell who is telling the truth and we don't have the capacity to verify or mediate these sorts of problems. We feel it's unfair to leave accusations in public view. In removing the post, we avoid the appearance of tacit approval.

Why has my post complaining about a sponsor been deleted?

Complaints about 420 Magazine sponsors are deleted only if they are inappropriately expressed, for example if they contain name-calling, immature language, are multiple posts across the site or otherwise contravene our Guidelines.

Your first course of action should always be to contact the sponsor directly. If complaints are posted on site, and are expressed with reason and rationale, then we will contact the sponsor directly and ask them to comment in the thread.
