This is my first time growing. I am growing in my closet which is very small. I am wondering how long do I leave the fan on for and do I leave the doors open or closed? I only have one plant and 3 flourescent lights. Walls are covered witha aluminum foil and it's only a few inches tall. Thanks everyone.

Well, right now at the stage your in, ventalation isn't a huge issue. But it's good to get ventalation from time to time, especially when you are growing in such a confined place. I would say open the door a little and turn the fan on for a few hours during the day or night. Right now just make sure that the air in there hasn't just been sitting for a while.

^^ you can do that too, but having a bigger spot for air to vent out and in is good. When I grew in my closet I cut a 5'' by 5'' hole in the top of the closet and in the summer plants would grow well in there because of the attic heat.

i just have a dual window fan laying on the top of my grow box, it has a lid on my box and i close it . i leave the fan on low all day b/c of the heat in the grow box. is that bad? i leave it on low and the box itself has a vent. opening at the bottom. should i be leaving the fan on all the time.?

thats what i always do leaving it on all the time keeps it cool and cools the lights and shit down .. dunno it help to make a healthy strong plant

use one for ventilation of heat and smell and one for fresh air and air flow to cool things down.

Cool air in at the bottom, hot air pulled out at the top I been growing in a closet for a while now and it’s challenging at times. I use a 440 adjustable fan with a 6” scrubbier dumping to the chimney 4+ floors up and away.
