Question about cfl lighting

How many lumens would it take to flower a single plant? Would it flower with 2 42w cfls if one was warm white? Will it flower without a warm white light?

Try 2 times what you have and go with the warm bulbs T5's@2daylight ! you will not get to much but you can use a 4 T5light system all the way but yeald will not be as good as with a 400HPS,But you can do it because you keep your lights so close to your plants just 2 or 3 inches from the plants and use the 54watt kind of T5's they do wounders and use Mylair to help light lose also !And get yourself a Grow book and Read and reread it so you get whats up ! Hope this help's ya! daddyzman Peace ;)

im using all cfl, slower growth but when outdoor growing is not an option and money limits big lights they work fine, good luck

There is a place in PA that you can get T5 CPF really cheap ! And when I say cheap I mean CHEAP 4 bulb T5 setup and + bulbs for around $150 ! I am new here and not sure if I can put the name of the place on here dont want to F up a Good Thing there on ebay also but if you call them u get a way better price,I cant PM yet so just look see on ebay forT5 lights sold in PA and u can find it ! Peace out Daddyzman

Look in journals in progress section. There are a couple guys flowering using 40 watt cfl's. Guys like tunes420. I know there are others. No matter what kind of light you're using, hps or cfl or t5 setup, i recomend alloting at least 80 watts on each plant. Like 3-4 25 watt cfls over each plant. When not using hid lights, topping or lst works well to keep the plant growing at a low level cause the light doesn't penetrate thge canopy far. Cfl's don't work well on 6 foot monster plants.

I've had excellent result using four 40W, and two 20W CFL's plugged directly into four power strips mounted vertically on each side of the box. Equal lighting was achieved by training the branches in circular patterns around the pot base, and gently holding them down using long pipe cleaners I picked up at a craft center. A modified (cut-to-fit) cheapo exhaust fan from the Dollar Store provides the required air circulation.

Given my limited space for only one plant, the yield is enough to keep me in smoke until the next harvest. Hope this might help you out.

Two old computer boxes put to good use. Height is adjustable by moving the pegs up, or down on each of the four vertical supports.

Thanks, forgot about that strain. Just plain-o bag seed that turned out being one great lady. Got lucky on my first grow, and felt stupid later for not cloning her.
