Question about Carbon For DIY Uses. Will This stuff Work Fine?

I'm gonna eventually build a DIY carbon filter to just recirculate the air in my room. I already have a regular 10" filter I bought that vents out of the room. I read a DIY carbon filter tha PanForGold made and he said it didnt work because the carbon he used didnt work for filter applications. Anyways check this carbon out.
