Today on FreeMind's channel, we have a New Strain Selection for this Vertical SCROG, run#2.
Currently, the bloom room is occupied for at least 7 more weeks, so this will be a veg/clone show in the beginning.

What strain is it? 6 of them!
Humboldt Seed Organization - Blue Dream (♀)

Currently Vegging for 11 Days as of 10/9
Indoor or outdoor? Indoor
Soil or Hydro? Soil Run! (CocoaTubes too)
What is in your mix? 25% FFOF, 25% Happy Frog, 25% Cocoa, 25% Perlite(at the bottom for Hempy style drainage)
If soil... What size pot? 5L Pots --> 3.5G Buckets -->5G Buckets for Bloom
Size of light? 345W T5HO 6 Bulb Veg lighting, 92W of CFL for cloning, 1000W HPS for flowering
Is it aircooled? Yes
Temp of Room/cab? Varies, 60s - 80s
RH of Room/cab? 40%-60%
How often are you watering? Every 2 Days
Type and strength of ferts used? AN Sensi Grow A+B(veg), GH Lucas Formula, 50%
# Plants - 6 vegging
All seeds were germinated via paper towel method, cracked within 24-48 hours (except the Blue Dream...grr).
They were planted into their 5L Pots with 2" Perlite in the bottom, and a 75/25 cocoa/perlite hempy blend.
9/27 - All but one planted and awaiting breaking ground
OK so I didn't have the cash to buy $40 in soil, $35 in cocoa and $45 in Perlite.
So I am starting them in Cocoa/Hempy...
BUT... I have purchased the supplies now, so on the 3.5Gal Bucket Transfer, they are going in the original plan of 25% FFOF, 25% HappyFrog, 25% Cocoa, 25% Perlite(at the bottom for Hempy drainage)
10/3 Update - Vegging strong!...WTF Blue Dream!
10/5 - Why must it be so hot?
10/6 - Fine...since its so hot, and the babies now have a stem that can survive a rogue hydroton ball rolling into them..I added the Hydroton to alleviate the roots getting blinded (happens with loose cocoa), and to protect from channeling.
I also flushed them with RO water, and added fresh nutes.
10/7 - They are responding well to the medium upgrade...except the HSO Train Wreck...those bottom leaves looked to be a bit baked...like me!

They are now all on day 11 of Veg, except one I'll explain further down.

Now the HSO Blue Dream...omg there is a story with this one.
I got this as a UFO, but it was probably one of the UFOs I looked forward to reading the description and hype.
There is some skepticism about HSO going around, and how they aren't legit.
Well, I want to see what their deal is, so I'm growing two of these UFOs out, Train Wreck and Blue Dream.
Then we will know first hand what the deal is.
Anyway, end rant...
The HSO Blue Dream didn't crack...I was pissed....OK REALLY Pissed.
But then after I manually popped the husk with my fingernail, it sprang out almost a fully developed sprout...pretty much scared me since I wasn't expecting it to be anything but brown mush...
So I said "why not, let's see if she survives and becomes a mutant"...only time will tell!
This was her 5 days after she scared the shit out of me when she leaped out of her husk and sack all at once.
She popped her first set of small fan leaves this week, indicating that mutant tap root is actually doing something.
That's the end of my updates for today.
