Hello Everyone!
I'm a new, Canadian grower, who has done a lot of research, taking advantage of our 4 plant allowance. (I've grown a few plants outdoors, but nothing worth writing home about)
I acquired 4 clones over the past 3 weeks, and would like to document the grow process.
My current grow is a soil grow (a homemade mixture of garden soil, sheep manure, peat and coco) in a closet, with a "RootFarm" full spec LED, and a tower fan for air circulation. (I leave the closet door open a crack so that air can flow out)
The "Purple Power" clone was acquired about 2 weeks ago. She was LST'd for about a week to help the bottom branches flourish. Very healthy with great growth.
The GDP, White Rhino, and Blue Widow were acquired from a trusted source about a week ago. I got them just after being gelled and put into rockwool. The rockwool was placed into a clear solo cup with soil, which was put into a bigger red solo cup for light protection.
(I actually acquired 2 GDP clones, but after about a week and no visual root growth, I decided to rinse the soil out and crack open the cube, only to find one super tiny white root, and one skinny brown one. I either over watered it, or the cube was holding way too much moisture and was too tight and caused rot. The cutting was big enough for me to cut the stem and dead roots off, gel, and retry. More on that little one in another thread, eventually.)
The White Rhino was the first to root, but she was cloned from a bigger stalk, so it was expected. I transplanted her over to a pot as soon as I seen 2 of those tiny roots shoot down the cup towards moisture.
The Blue Widow was showing some root growth about 6 days in, and the GDP quickly followed. I quickly transplanted them into their final pots.
GDP
Blue Widow
White Rhino
This will be the beginning of the journey, any help and advice is much appreciated.
Stay safe everyone.
