Where or where can a Pueblo resident legally light up a joint? That's the question City Council is scheduled to discuss at its 5:30 p.m. work session today. While the city hasn't licensed any medical or recreational marijuana stores yet some council members have been pressing for city regulations on where marijuana can be used in the city. State law prohibits the "public use" of pot but does that mean someone's backyard? Front yard? Assistant City Attorney Carla Sikes will lead council through the policy discussion. At the 7 p.m. regular council meeting, council will be asked to accept a gift of 80 acres for park purposes from the estate of Mary Ellen Waggener, the Betty Korb Trust, and the Highberger Trust.
