Authorities have raided one of the last remaining medical marijuana dispensaries in downtown San Diego–a day after the City Council considered a new law to permit pot shops.
U-T San Diego says protesters supporting medical marijuana jeered Tuesday as federal agents and county sheriff's deputies raided the One on One Patient Association.
Agents from a regional narcotics task force carried off boxes of evidence.
They also seized 1,000 pot plants in other raids at homes and businesses in northern San Diego County.
No arrests were made.
San Diego currently doesn't allow pot dispensaries. On Monday, the City Council asked the city attorney to draft new regulations that would permit and regulate them.
