LAS VEGAS -- Pro-marijuana advocates will rally in at University Medical Center in Las Vegas Wednesday in an effort to prove the drug is safer than alcohol.
The Marijuana Policy Project of Nevada, a group seeking to end what it calls “marijuana prohibition” and reduce criminal penalties for using the drug, is also kicking off its “$10,000
Challenge” event.
The group said will pay $10,000 to anyone who can disprove three statements that demonstrate marijuana is safer than alcohol.
Cash will not be on display; instead organizers will showcase a mock check for $10,000.
