pro and cons of topping, pruning, and etc?

Topping involves cutting off the top 1/3 of the plant.
This causes the plant to bush out more. It also means 2 manin stems will grow from that point.
Each time you cut a growth branch 2 branches grow.
The drawbacks are it takes the plant 2 weeks to recover, and more branches NO NOT mean more bud. UNLESS you add more water, nutrients, growing medium and light.
You'll get the same yield as an untopped plant, but it smaller but more buds.

If you top, do so inbetween nodes, and use a clean razor blade.

Topping a plant is cruel. you stress the plant by doing it which causes it to be in a weaker than normal condition. This opens it up for infections like rust and weakens its' inmune system which could weaken it's ability to figtht off pests. Bending the top over and tieing it down gives you the same affect by opening up the canopy and exposing normally hidden bud sites to the light. It also redirects the auxins which control growth from the top of the plant to lower branches which causes a bushier plant.
There is little to no stress by bending the top over. There is no 2 week lag time to allow the plant to recover from the stress topping causes which means your grow cycles stay on time and aren't slowed due to waiting for recovery.
