Check your meter it should tell you which one.
Edit: maybe even check online from the retailer
Nice! Glad you go it figured out. I went and checked mine and nothing. Cheapo Chinese things....Thank You but already did that. It's just a cheap one. No information is out there that helped. I got the best info here.
On a good note I've had my meter over a year and it was less than 30ppm off.
Why google ? I have calibration solution.Damn google household items that can be used to test ppm
Let's say vinegar Say it says it's suppose to be 85 ppm your meter should agree ?
Just can't remember what they use sorry
I have never calibrated meter in two years nor changed a battery I paid 20$ for it. Off eBay
Crazy right some would say

On another note. I did try that first.
Was surprised mine was only off a little. Not enough to matter. Ph meters you def wanna calibrate or check once in awhile. At least I do.
Yeah I would but I run advanced nutrients ph perfect so I don't ever check ph . When I did a year ago lol it was 5.9 or something after everything added of course ..
That's yet another vote for the pH Perfect line, which seems to have lots of satisfied users.
If I do another hydro grow, I will definitely use that. My pH with GH nutes went all over the place.
Iam sure you've seen this.
Iam sure you've seen this.
Isn't the fact that ph starts going up or down trying to tell us something to change? More nutes? Less?
Seems using ph perfect nutes would mask problems. Just a thought of my own.
I use gh and the only time I had ph keep rising on me it was trying to tell me more or less nutes. Can't remember without looking at my journal entry's. I have a chart I refer to.
I think pH is related to the level of nutrients in the reservoir but not a good indicator.
I suspect that the pH Perfect line has more vigorous buffering, but that's a wild guess, and that stuff gets complicated...
I think that chart is interesting but it's a bit too pat and simplified for me--I don't think it's as simple as "if pH is falling and PPMs are rising do X." But having said that, with one hydro grow under my belt, I'm the first to admit I have a lot to learn! (Having a bigger reservoir helps with pH stability was my last big takeaway.)
One thing I can say for sure for myself is that on my last grow when I started having ph problems I referred to the chart and did what it said and my ph stabilized.
