OTAY MESA — A San Diego police dog helped uncover 11,500 pounds of marijuana worth $3.5 million stashed in a warehouse on Marconi Drive, north of the Otay Mesa Port of Entry, authorities said yesterday.
The dog, a Labrador retriever named Angus, and his handler were part of a San Diego County Integrated Narcotic Task Force team that responded to a report of suspicious activity at the warehouse about 6:30 p.m. Thursday, the Drug Enforcement Administration said.
