Hi 420 first time growing.
I have 2 plants. 1 female and 1 male and they are about 5 months.
I want to use the male for butter and it's been around 2 weeks since the flowers started blooming and falling. I
wanted to know if it's ready to harvest and make butter. If it's ready should I dry it first. Thanks
The female has around 1 week since the trichcomes appeared and I think it's not ready yet, maybe 2-3 weeks more for her. Any suggestions on both plants would be highly appreciated. Thanks

Hi and welcome.... I am going to assume that you have these 2 separated to where the male cannot pollinate the female but I don't use my males for anything but trash so really can't help ya there but if you can get a loupe with about a 40x magnification you will be able to see the trichs and they start out clear then turn cloudy then when you start seeing amber trichs at about 30% you are ready to chop. It can take anywhere from 45-80 days. Hope that helps a bit but without trich pics it is really hard to tell and as far as the male I wouldn't have him in the house for fear of pollination......

You said you are making budder with the male. Why would you do this? There is no THC in male plants. The only thing it is good for is pollen and making seeds.

It is difficult to tell how mature your buds are on the female plant. How old is she? Are you still seeing pistils or hairs forming? Can you get a closer shot of the buds?
