Please help me - I'm freaking out a little!

OK--I am a junior in college and I have recently applied to nursing school. Nothing will make me happier than to be able to care for individuals and their families that need me. I am a straight A student, a biology tutor, and I manage a horse farm with 43 horses so I feel like my application is looking strong. I am facing a slight dilemma though as I smoke everyday several times a day and I have for the past several years. I know that smoking makes me a better student because it allows me to further open my mind and explore my ideas, but nursing school does not agree. As soon as you are accepted to nursing school they drug test you by using a hair follicle drug test (I found this information out today). Last night was my last night smoking (for now at least because it breaks my heart that I have to stop), and I do not find out about nursing school until the middle of September, so I have some time. In case I am accepted I would like to prepare myself properly for the dreaded drug test. I was wondering if anyone had any advice for me to help detox my hair--any shampoos? supplements? anything? I am planning on dying it soon and I am going to start taking a hair growth supplement. I have worked so hard in school to get to the point that I am at and I really hope that the school does not prevent me from going further because of smoking. Any advice would be much appreciated.

I wish I did not have to compromise my personal life because of my career goals, but I know that I can do so much good in my community for now I am going to.

There are some good threads here on how to get your hair clean enough to pass a hair test. You've got almost 3 months so you will be fine with just some cleansing. Then around the time you go in just cut your hair back a few inches to get rid the dirtiest of the hair.
