This plant is pretty yellow, should I be concerned? It is also smaller than Indicas that are the same age. This is a PainKiller XL about 21 days old.

1st grow, probably just paranoid.

Edited to add:

This is a PainKiller XL, supposed to be 75% Sativa. It is much brighter that the others I have going.

Soil is Fox Farrm Ocean Forest, Promix BX, and Perlite ...equal parts. Temp bounces between 75-86F degrees, humidity between 50-65%. It is 21 days from sprout, been under a Mars Hydro 96X5 18/6 inside and several hours a day outside when the sun is shining. and the wind is blowing a gagger. Small fan is blowing on them. Have 1 Grand Daddy Purp and 3 Afghani Regulars in the room with it. The plant really looks healthy to me but it is so much different than the others it makes me kinda nervous, so I am hoping for some opinions or reassurance that's the nature of the beast.
Thanks.

People will want to know the stats on them. Temp/RH/PPM reading, if you use one. What type of system you have, Type of light ect ect ect.

Myself have no ideal what it is. They will tell you that the more info you can present, The more they can help.
Just a little advice. Good Luck.

You are absolutely right Pete, sorry.

I was having trouble with my keyboard, should have just got up and went to a different computer instead of cutting it short:-)

I'm not an expert, but they look healthy and strong, Bit yellow, but they look good. You might want to look at google, Type in yellowing marijuana leaves, you might be able to see something there. Like I said they look good.I'm sure you will get other reply's. Good Luck

Hello BeaverIslander

From the pictures, it really looks like a nitrogen deficiency, but the soils you are using shouldn't be a problem with a plant that young. Have you checked the pH of your soil in that pot? Have you added given anything other than water to your plants?

I have only used well water that has been run through a Britta Filter then sat out for 24 hours so the chlorine could dissipate. I am using that water VERY sparingly so I can't test run off. It was just put in fresh soil a few days ago when repotted....so if anything, it may not be getting enough water. No additional nutrients, just what was in the soil I made up.

One more thing, it has been this yellowish green since it sprouted so I don't think the addition of natural sunlight is the culprit.

Its hard to imagine a nitrogen deficiency in a plant that young in soil unless the pH was severely out of whack. It could also be a magnesium deficiency maybe, not sure, I've only seen it in my flowering girls. Maybe see if you can get some cal-mag or even Epsom salts and add to your next watering.

I do have Epsom Salts. Could me how much I should put in say 1 ounce of water?

Thanks for the help Celt. I just mixed up a gallon of Epsom Salts as you suggested and gave the one in question and two others a full pint. They took it all but about 1 ounce in one of the smaller pots. Checked the pH of the run off and it was very close to the end of the scale (6.8) on an old pool tester (have a new one coming this week.)

I did just put a pint of plain water in another one so hopefully I can see a difference in the morning.

Again, thank you for offering to help!

Hi JoJo,
I "THINK" my pH is right in there but I won't know for sure until later in the week.

""""Checked the pH of the run off and it was very close to the end of the scale (6.8) on an old pool tester (have a new one coming this week.)"""""

I would estimate the pH to be 6.7 to 6.6 if the chemicals in an old pool tester are still accurate. 9 hours after watering with Epsom Salts added, I can see a difference, so I am going to hold steady for a couple days before I change anything else. Here is an interesting pic of two different plants watered (9 hours ago) the one on the right side had Epsom salts added the one on left did not. I think we may be onto something....I hope so anyway.

Thank you for the reply, I read quite a bit of your article, very informative.

On 8/16 I immediately gave it some Epsom Salts until the Cal-Mag + arrived on 8/21 and then gave it a good watering with the Cal-Mag. There is little doubt that I had a Magnesium deficiency after seeing the results. It is still very small compared to the others that share the same space and soil so I guess I'll just assume that it is the strain. (PainKiller XL.) Te color is still a little lighter to, but a lot darker than it was. Still no pH tester but it is due here today.
Again, thank you for helping troubleshooting this one with me.
