Hi I'm starting a new auto grow. I know ff Ocean forest is too rich for seedlings but.... since autos dont like transplanting, if I take say a 3 or 4 inch plug out of the middle and replace it with promix veg and herb would that be OK? Also, do you use mega crop right from the start? Or do you wait with auto seedlings for ANY feed. Merci

I’m not an auto grower but your plan sounds good. I assume that the promix you mention has some starter nutrients in it. Personally I would just leave it at that and not feed for quite a long time, like quite a few weeks if not longer, as OF is known to be quite rich.

I think you’ll be fine. I ran a set of autos this spring under 315 using FFOF. Basically I used great white microb/bacteria early on when transplanting from solos to 5 and 10 gallon containers, used hi brix to ph to 6.5 and fed very lightly with guanos. I did use lollipop once flowering began, gave me some enormous flowers. Biggest container doubled yield of the 5 gallon so I don’t use anything less than 7 gallon now. Good Luck!

Yep, I'd use 10 gallon fabric pots and make a solo cup size spot in the center for a seedling soil.
Give it a Sprouted Seed Tea of Alfalfa about week 2 and a compost tea at week 3 and just plain water all the rest.
First 3 weeks are most critical with autos

I’ve switched to autos three months ago and have switched from MC to Jack’s Tap, Bloom and Finish. I have been feeding 1/4 dose at sprout, 1/2 dose second water then full dose forward. When the pistils start, usually 3-4 weeks then I switch to two weeks Bloom then back to Tap till the end. The last two weeks I’ll use the Finish.
Been growing in 4 & 5 gallon fabric.

Agreed as to the N. I just switched to this formula and am still working out the kinks. I started out with the completely incorrect dose. Jack’s customer service is awesome and they gave a correct schedule. I was basically starving them at first.

I’m challenged by running a different strain and mostly from different breeders every time I pop 1. I’ve got a little unhappy 6 week girl in my garden too right now. Keep up the great work

Let the pot dry. If it’s really wet then I’d leave it totally alone for at least 5 days to dry. If it isn’t, I would put your light at about 20 inches up from the plant.
