Hey guys, let's hope we get a lot of submission this month and 100+ votes for the contest.

This is my soon to harvest Pineapple Express. Week 8 in bloom. I've noticed this strain loves the heat! The tent was between 88-95F and no sign of heat stress. This Summer has been really hot as some of you may have noticed.

Pretty lady 12, way to start off the POTM contest! :goodluck:

Hi again everyone! :)

I'm gonna give this ol POTM contest another whirl with a brand new recently harvested entry! :cheer:

Submitted for your approval...

Blueberry Kush

P1011403.jpg

BBK #1 pictured here at Week 8 of flowering, measured 38" tall from the base of its stalk to the tallest of the four main colas. (this plant was topped 2.5 weeks before being put under 12/12)

P1011436.JPG

BBK #1 is one of two original BBK clones that I vegged outside beginning in June, topped and put into flower indoors in July and returned outdoors for final flowering in Mid-August. This plant was harvested on August 27th, 2011. The untrimmed wet weight tipped the scales at 1 pound 10 ounces! The plant's dried/cured/manicured yield was weighed this evening with a grand total of 4.85 ounces.

With this being my very first experience growing BBK, I had previously heard good things about the strain, but never had access to it until a trusted local source provided me with two 4" tall clones. Before flowering this and its sister plant, I cloned them out twice and currently have 15 additional plants ranging in size from 8" to the tallest at 35" which is actually the original growing tip from this plant that I decided to clone after topping in July! :)

P.S. I agree with Twelve in hoping that the September POTM sets new records for the number of entries and total votes! Spread the word about ALL the 420 contests and good luck to all the entries for this month! :goodluck::circle-of-love::popcorn::Namaste:

Hey Goldengoose7 awesome plants Glad to see you in on this month. I believed the community can reached this goal. When visiting a grow journal encourage the grower to submit his/her plant/nug to the contests, before the 15th. Even if they have no plant/nug ready for the month to participate, being a voter is also another form of participation. That's how I try to spread the words.

I thought I might try something a little different. My entry this month is my Nirvana White Widow Bonsai Mother.

When I started training my bonsai mom I only had two goals in mind...first, she had to fit in the space I had (which was a small closet), and second, I wanted to be able to take large numbers of cuttings at one time.

Well, we've been working for the past 8 months (since she was just a cutting herself) to train her to fit in this closet. The shelf that she's on measures 3 feet x 14 inches, you can see that I still have room to fit a couple small plants on each side of her. As far as my goal of being able to take large numbers of cuttings...the last time I gave her a trim I took 36 cuttings. :high-five:

And here's a pic from under her canopy...she's normally shy, but I talked her into letting me take just a couple of shots.:)

She may not be as glamorous as all those painted up hussies in the bud porn that we all drool over, but come on guys (and girls:winkyface:), moms can be sexy too! Support moms everywhere, and vote for my Nirvana White Widow Bonsai Mother!:thumb:

Hey hey Mr. Green! :ciao:

Thanks for the compliment! Much appreciated! :thumb:

Surfing the web on your 42 inch HDTV eh? VERY COOL!! :welldone:

If you're curious...check my journal for some photos of the dried bud "weigh-in" taken last night. :)

Thanks again my friend! :)

To the person who PM'd me about Budworms. I tried to reply but it says I don't have enough posts here yet to send PM's. So I'll answer your question here.

Yes, we did have a problem with budworms earlier this year on our Harlequin and our Jilly Bean plants. We've been alternating spraying with Safer Caterpillar Killer and Spinosad and that seems to be working really well. I have some Harlequin that is almost ready and we stopped spraying those a couple of weeks ago and so far, no signs of budworms. :)
