Plant is Preflowering w/ Clone 3 weeks Old. Can I Switch to 12/12

I have a plant that has been growing for 8-10 weeks, and has started to show signs of pre-flowering female nodes. I also have a clone that is only 2-4 weeks old in the same grow room. I am wanting to switch the lights from 20/4 to 12/12 so that my larger plant can start flowering, but I wanted to know what would happen to my 2-4 week old clone in the same room! Thank you!!!

She'll flower right along unless you seperate to another room.
