Pineapple Express

I am using two regular pineapple Express seeds from Premium Seed market.
After watching the movie again, I decided to pop these seeds
Wanted to give another breeder a chance and see what I could do on a budget basis with old, reused soil. The soil I use is from my first grow where I had nutrient lockout in the last three weeks so hopefully the soil Will be OK. I did flush the soil with approximately 9 gallons about two weeks before harvest so hopefully it shouldn’t be much salt buildup. although I think I read that flushing really only gets rid of nitrogen, so I may have some problems. If it doesn’t work out, I will not hold this against premium seeds market.
This will give me a good chance to really read my plants.
I will keep in 1 gallon buckets, and I will flip these at the same time as my other plants that have a month Headstart.
As the seeds are relatively low cost, at two dollars a seed I don’t have much to lose.
I will need to be diligent about checking the sex, since I don’t want to ruin my crop.
If one or both are a male, I will try to find another place in the house and immediately flip to 12/12 and try to flower. them out and save pollen, or use on 1 of my future clones.

2/16
ReUsed potting soil.
Removed root ball. It still had some roots within it.
Mixed w epsoma planton 1 tablespoon.
1/2 tbsp gypsum
1/2 tbsp humic acid
1/2 tbsp bone meal
1/2 tbsp azomite
2 tablespoons earthworm castings mix in the top inch of soil

2/18 2pm seed in water
2/19 8:25pm tap root seen on 1. planted w 1/4 tsp mycorhyzeal fungi

2/20 small seedlings seen

2/21 planted other pineapple express w tsp kelp

Will see if Kelp or mycorhyzeal fungi is better for the roots, although there are already many variables. In future, maybe I will use both or just the fungi.

The first one had small seedling with seed stuck on cotyledon I removed w tweezer gently
I Applied 1/4 tsp mycorrhizal fungi around seed when I planted

2/23/2023 AM 1st Seedling small and maybe overwatered other seedling has not sprouted

2/24 AM other seed sprouting. 1st Seedling looks a little better

Looking good - I know in coco Enzyme is recommended for reuse, not sure if that would also apply in your soil

Hey John👊✌️ Found Ya! What type of soil/nutes/feed sytem are you going with for this grow?
Gee,
Not quite sure of nutes yet. I wont give anything for about a week.
The soil is likely suboptimal as I mention. I addended somewhat but without a soil test I have no idea if my amendments were necessary or helpful.
They are getting spring water ph’d to around 6.1 w 1/8 tsp of K silicate and aloe powder. Ppm 45
I will probably top dress in a week w an organic fertilizer 1 tbsp. I now have burpee, mr earth and epsoma products so i will update after I add. Will add some crab meal and chicken manure and will start using fish tank water to water. I will rely on fox farm trio if I notice deficiency as they should be fast acting.
I will have to watch the watering carefully given the smaller pot size. I will veg for about a month. I may need to transplant if I am getting overwhelmed in a 1 gallon pot.

Today I am keeping the domes off of them and see how they do. RH in room is 66.
The cotyledon on the late bloomer is still bent, probably from trauma of the seed shell being stuck.

3/27 some bottom leaves yellow but plants looked okay and were well watered while I was away the last 8 days. Fed with 1 tsp grow big, 1/2 tsp K sulfate, 1 tbsp big bloom
3/28 topped dressed with 1 tbsp Espoma Plant Tone and 1 tbsp Espoma bulb tone 1 tbsp chicken manure and 2 tbsp EWC
Considering Fox farm not sure 1 gallon pot will get them to finish
Switched to 12/12 lights

First I’ll say I’m looking at this on my phone screen, with old eyes, but the first pic looks more male than female. I see no pistils, and what looks like balls. Another couple days will be definitive.
