Man I wished I knew!
It does look weird eh? I've noticed colour changes and weirdness going on inside trichomes under 100x and 120x. This does look a bit strange the way it elongated but I dunno. How would anything get in there? Maybe it's a malfunctioning gland.

When its get done the trichomes are reduced in numbers, no potency.anyone interest in biology or pathology
any one want a sample to study

malfunctioning Gland ,could be. But my whole crop for the last almost 3 years,{New clones], New seeds, imported both from Spain and Amsterdan;
I am trashing all and senitizing with bleach, the grow room and the Greenhouse and start all over with new seeds only 2 or 3 plants in each site, No more dispensary clones,
See if I can rid myself of this.

Ya you're other pix are definitely unusual.. Well I definitely don't want a sample anywhere near my place!
I don!t blame you, But I was refering to some biologist that was on line watching, I need all the help I can get. But so far no one I have contacted is willing to help ,All the do is test for potency and mold or pesticides ,No help identifying other problems

Plant pathogens are real for sure, was just doing some quick digging and there is some very esoteric work in the field related to trichomes specifically. Hope you can find an answer or a solution at least!

And if you have any other type of plants around that have trichomes of any kind maybe put them under the scope too. Apparently trichomes are known to become infected by certain organisms. Diazotrophs and oomycetes are possibilities. Salmonella enterica likes to infect tomato trichomes I was just reading.. Good luck man, would love to know if you ever get an answer or get clear of it!

if you have nothing to lose you might try crushing a couple aspirin up and adding it to the water. odd as it sounds there are a few weird fungal infections that mostly affect tomato plants. acetylsalicylic acid (aspirin) promotes a resistance to the problem. it may arrest it, but i doubt it will actually repair the damage.

i only know that cause i know a tomato growing freak

I'd like to share your pix with an agricultural research centre we have here with your permission? They have a huge lab. No worries, cannabis is legal here and they may have interest seeing as how this type of thing could be a problem for a big government controlled industry here..
