i was wondering what would be a good choice of tester for a hydro system. i mean i just don't know what would be the best one to buy. i deff. want if digital. but idk if i should get one that is both combined or two different ones.

Any is really good. To be honest, if you want to get a good one, get the Hanna Instruments Waterproof pH/EC/ppm/temp tester it goes for about 160 bucks and replaceable electrode. If not, on ebay you can get the hanna checker 1 for about 30 bucks shipped, and hanna primo 20 bcks shipped. about 50 bucks for two accurate measuring devices, which is good because they should be kept separate for storage reasons. It doesnt' REALLY matter too much so i would just go and save 110 bucks.

hanna oakton milwakee are some major name brands lots of folks
rave about the bluelab truncheon type meter for conductivity/ppm

if your set upis bigger than a little closet rig your might want a wallmount remote probe that stores data
regardless of what you get proper calibration solutions and storage solutions are real important you can trash a fairly new PH meter with dry storage if the electrode should be kept wet...

been there done that
