An ordinance that would permanently ban storefront medical marijuana businesses in the city of Billings will be considered by the City Council on Monday night.
The council meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. on the second floor of City Hall, 220 N. 27th St.
The council passed an emergency 90-day ban on such businesses July 5, pursuant to a new state law that specifically authorized local governments to enact ordinances to that effect.
The ordinance would prohibit any visible display of marijuana, marijuana products and depictions of marijuana visible from the exterior of any building that houses a medical marijuana business.
There will be no public hearing on the ordinance at the meeting.
