Parnelli's 2021 Mystery Grow

My buddy "Dirty Dicky" gave me some seeds in 2020 and I've had them stashed away since then. Just put them in the Aerogrow to germinate yesterday and am hoping that a few of them pop. Regardless, I'll give myself an early Xmas present and buy some landrace sativa seeds soon just in case nothing pops up. I can always use the purchased seeds for an outdoor summertime grow.

Soil isn't my forte so hopefully I'll learn something along the way.

I'm still waiting for these seeds to pop

This is not good. One seed popped but didn't survive (couldn't keep it moist enough). Used both the Aerogrow method and Crop King method of seed germination (with added heat to about 82F) - neither were successful. I'm going back to the cd case method of seed germination to see what happens.

Started a new group of mystery seeds Saturday and now have them in a cd case. I'm working to keep them warm, moist, and in the sun when it's out. This process has worked well for me in past years. SE Mich in Dec is not a hospitable environment to pop some seeds.

Oh wow, yes MI is much colder climate. I never had much success with paper towel method, now days I soak for 24 hrs in water with splash of H202 and pop into soil. But yes I grow in basement where it’s much cooler so I germ new ones on top of fridge or in the top of my tent

I’m confident you will figure it out!

Maybe the third time's the charm. Starting a new cd case of seeds today. This last batch had one seed (out of 8) pop, got the root to about 3mm, and that was all she wrote.

everyone has their fave methods …. I’m not of fan of paper towel method and I don’t wait for tails to develop…. But what works for me may seem bizarre to others

I soak beans for 24 hours in water with splash of H202, liquid kelp & Stout MSA silica and from there go straight in soil or rapid rooter.

Well the Mystery Grow is not a mystery anymore! That's because NONE of the seeds survived the germination process no matter what I tried.

On to the next grow with fresher seeds of a known variety. I'll be going with at least one landrace variety.
