I got my first legit seeds 3 days ago and so far it has been nothing but suckcess 
I used Matanuska Valley's method of germination which is simply putting the seeds in a cup of water for about 12 hours until they sink and then putting them between damp paper towels in a warm dark place for a few days.
I am only using 1 seed and it is a fairly cheap Nirvana seed. It sank in about 11 hours, and I have had it in wet paper towels for about 40 hours. Already the little root is about a quarter of an inch! It seems like right behind my computer is a good spot to keep it a little warm, and I have it in a zip lock back to keep the moisture in. I plan on planting my first baby tomorrow!
