My question is does it kill the wanted smell of the plants themselves or just the smell in the room?
looks like im gonna have to read that long ass post because as far as i know ozone in your grow room will kill the plants not just the smell
I have run my CAP OZN-1 Ozone generator (5500 sq ft) for 2 years on a timer at 15 minutes on 30 off and have never seen any negative effects on my plants. I have it mounted in the top of my tent where it is sucked out through the carbon filter and into the attic. I'm sure it would have negative effects on the plants if they were being saturated with the o3 but mine is sucked right out as soon as it turns on.
sounds like a very good use!
however in that instant its just a carbon filter basically and all the pest control benefits the OP claims dont apply.
While we are on the subject, I purchased the Unovair 3000, meaning 3000 cubic feet. AS it is not needed at this time, I put it in our living room that is wide open, just the room is over 6600 CF, are there any harmful, read yes, read no on so many opinions, in a twice the size room than they are rated for? I smoke ciggs and my wife is always complaining, so I have the Cap OZn-1 one in our bedroom, 22x24 Sq Feet, 12 ft ceilings and trey. I did put that on a timer, hour on, hour off 12 hours a day, off at night when we sleep. Put my little Cap Controller Jr, in our hallway, 10 foot ceiling and approx 22 foot long, with a 1/2 bath in the middle, not counting that space.
Thank you
I agree with most of you - ozone is all around us - that fresh smell on your clothes when they have been hung outside is in fact ozone - the UV rays of the sun create O3 and that sterilises our clothes... plants have evolved to be accustomed to ozone - there is actually nothing like ozone to destroy smells - it is simple the best - i have been using mine for 4 years now - it's a crop saver!
