That's a ton! I'm feeling more comfortable with next grow and that extra handful or two a pound is. Thanks for that info!Hey Stone,
Sorry, yesterday got away from me. Here are some weights.
1 cup prilled dolomite - 8.57oz
1 cup powdered dolomite - 15.34 oz
1 cup prilled gypsum - 7.54 oz
1 cup oyster shell flour - 9.52 oz
all done on a digital kitchen scale
So my regular mix per 10 gallon pot before I added the extra calciums is:
22oz prilled dolomite
2.5oz prilled gypsum
4.75 oz oyster shell flor
So almost 2 pounds of calcium, magnesium, and sulphur per 10gal pot, and that gets my brix to at least 17 every grow. Now phosphorus and microbes and coco along with good watering practices all come into play too, but calcium/magnesium sets the stage for everything else to work.
I will get back to you later with a soil ph on what the pots read with the extra calciums, but normally it sits rock solid at 6.2ph.
