Hey im new to growing and im gonna start soon. im wondering what would be a good Mulch for my plants. i live in north cali and i cant decide what to use.( and do i need mulch? ) I know its a noob question but any help would be nice.

Mulch would definately be advantageous. There are many to select. If ur on a budget I've read about growers using newspaper with a thin layer of topsoil over it. here's a list of some types of mulch used>Which Types of Mulch are Usable?.

island, ever have a problem with mold and burlap? How exactly did u use it? Sounds like its worth trying. Does the burlap affect PH or does it even matter outdoors?
