Ottawa -- A rally to protest marijuana prohibition and advocate its regulation, called Fill the Hill, drew an estimated crowd of 1,500 people to Parliament Hill on the weekend.
Jack Cole, a retired drug-squad officer from New Jersey state police, told the crowd that legalizing marijuana would allow the government to regulate and control the distribution, consumption and production of the drug, thereby forcing criminals out of the equation. CP
