OTM's DIY Bubble Cloning & Sprouting 40 Year Old Seeds & Current RDWC Harvest

I can tell by your post's here you are having a blast and that is awesome.

OTM, to echo JM I hope you find a way to keep these amazing genetics around! The plants are gorgeous.

It is a BLAST! It makes up for 40 years of standing at the window looking in!:laughtwo:
The bonus is being able to associate with a great bunch of talented growers and help others just getting their feet wet learn the path at the same time...win-win in my book! :passitleft:

1-26-18 More Maui Wowie Clones;

Before starting the Colloidal Silver treatment on one of the next round of Maui's, I took 2 clones from each....the $10.00 bubble cloner is back in business!

If all goes well we should see the start of roots in about 5-8 days, I am increasing the veg tent temps to the 75-78 degree range to see if that helps them pop a little faster compared to the last clone run where the temps were in the high 60's low 70's.

Today I started the flush on Hayley, the end is near, I am seeing 10-15% amber on her upper cola's and her upper leaves continue to curl & darken...will try and get her last pictures taken this weekend.

The Widow Low & Slow cure is going good, it will probably take a couple of extra days for some of these bigger buds, I have jar test humidity ranging from 70% on the smaller buds to 90% on the biggest ones...the smell when opening that fridge door about knocks you over when burping it! :laughtwo:

The Maui's I put in flower seem to be taking the transition well, I did remember to start the LED lights high this time to ease them into transition from the lower wattage veg lights...so far so good...will also work on a "how I did this" with photos on the Colloidal Silver treatments I am giving one of the Maui's this weekend for those of you interested.

All is well and Green here, hope its the same on your end!:passitleft:

:thanks:

Simple and easy. I like how we all seem to tweak things a little bit all the time trying to get better at our craft. I can only imagine the amount of material you have read on germinating seeds. We should probably call you Master OTM.

Nice words JM, but I am no where near a master, yes, I have done a ton of reading, comparing results, and trying to figure out how I can apply the info learned to what I have going, the basics to life whether it be plants, animals, or humans apply...A good environment, a good food supply, and a purpose to exist have to be in place for success, without all the above, there is no success...and yes I am enjoying some White Widow as I type!:smokin2:

OTM, I was chatting with a buddy today, and he was telling me about how he enjoys Pineapple Express and how if I ever get a chance to try Maui Wowie to jump on it. Maybe one day I’ll get to share some Maui Wowie with him from your breeding stock!

If there is a will, there is a way Dobe, I hope the CS works, its a shame to have to sacrifice one of the plants but with cloning all I really lose is time.

You already figured out the hardest part - I have no doubt you’ll get this figured out as well.

I look forward to your smoke report too - a true blast from the past!

1-28-18 Hayley's Last Kodak Moment Update;

Here are a few final pictures of Miss Hayley, I started flushing her with Just PH'd RO water a couple days ago, so the harvest will be towards the end of next week or the weekend.

That main cola is pretty hefty and the color is probably best described as Carmel/Green, very sweet smelling and sticky, not quite as sticky as the Widow clone, but better that the Kush gals.

I started pinching off some of the main fans and will continue to do that as the flush progresses. There is quite a bit of fluff at the bottom 3rd of the plant so I should have some good material for butter/hash and the rest will be for enjoying...popped off a bowl sized bud for a early sample, should be dry enough to test when the axe falls!:laughtwo:

I sorted out my last Purple Kush harvest and ended up with 8 1/2 oz of grade 1 & 2 smoke and just about 4 oz of cooking grade material so about an average of 4 oz per plant.

The Low & Slow is progressing on the Widow clone, I should be able to jar up some in a day or two, the RH is in the high 60's on the smaller buds and high 70's on the bigger ones, nice and dense and very sticky!:drool:

I am seeing some pistils starting on the one Maui plant that I have not been spraying with CS, so hopefully I will start to see pollen sacks start to form on the other Maui soon. I did notice that spraying the bud areas with CS is kind of hard on the plant, I don't spray the whole plant, just the areas where per flower is showing, but the overspray and mist tends to settle on the bottom fans and turns them yellow pretty quick. When I spray the plant, I remove it from the flower room, spray it, and then let it dry for an hour before moving it back in with the other Maui and keep plenty of space between the two. I will have an update with pictures on them in the next day or two.;)

:thankyou: :slide: :passitleft:
