ok so i use FF nutes. grow big hydro, BB, & just added open sesame last night. heres my problem. my roots at the tips are white however the rest are darker and at the top of that water level theres even more on the roots. theyre not slimy at all. and its like brown mud you can spray off. my pH is around 5.5-5.8(liquid test kit.) my res temp is 65-70*. ppm before was 1250 & then down to 1050 after i added a gallon o f distilled water when they needed it. ive since done a flush. for 4 hours. then put fresh distilled water & nutes. ppm is again at 1250. when i flushed they were cleaner looking & now the brown is back. so idk is it ok? should i do something different or what??

ill get a pic. but its not coming from the roots. its from the nutes im pretty sure. the flush probably could have gotten rid of all of it had i left it long enough. but with the res change & new nutes it would all come back.

have you or anyone use FF nutes in hydro?

heres the roots. you can see the brown stuff on the towel. idk if its bad or not, but we sprayed the roots with plain distilled water to try and wash some of it off. this was before i flushed. ill try to get a new picture. but heres this one from friday.

That looks like the beginning of root rot, to me... Do you have enough air stones to put oxygen into the water? Try 3 capfulls of hydrogen peroxide per gallon of distilled water, and see if there's an improvement.

and your roots are white?

Yes. I had root rot towards the end of the last grow because I didn't have enough oxygen in the water.
