Opar’s First Grow: Blue Dream & Bubba Kush 2.0, 2019

Well, it’s a hit with friends! One of the hydro shops has an awesome owner who told me for a first grow, I hit it out of the park, which is always nice to hear. Only critic from her was a bit airy(less dense), and she says to dial in the temp/humidity and use co2. That’ll get it done... the bubba kush 2.0 almost seems to be super strong and heavy indica effect.... the blue dream seems to be a hit too... I made bubble hash from the trim, got about 17 grams of it.... not fun to do tbh, but looking forward to hearing how it smokes... smells freaking amazing! Also made some rosin from using hair straightener.... not sure how that is either, but hopefully will find out...

Here is a pic of current grow, just flipped to flower a couple of weeks ago ... maybe 3 weeks now... I should keep better track.... honestly I neglected the hell out of these and just started to treat them right at flip... growing multi-strain

I can almost guarantee they will taste different. DJ short mentions in a book that HPS brings out the sour. MH/LED brings out the sweet. I can tell you I flowered a candy kush under hps. Had a clone of it. Upgraded to BudgetLED and the difference was very noticeable not just to me but to all that sampled it

Thanks @Sparkey224 ! I did dwc with HPS light, coco with LED and coco with HPS. Gotta be honest, not enjoying prepping 2 different nutrient solutions... think I might stick to Coco in the future...

Although, here is my 3 blue kings plant in dwc.... I know I should have defoliate more but I had to see how it’ll turn out. 5 gal bucket :)

She is pretty and big. I think you and @N420 are running a similar setup. Looks like you are doing great with DWC.
 
Your Dwc plant is looking very nice Opar she is looking quite big and looks like she will have some long stacking colas. Thanks the tag @Sparkey224
 
Yay for day 34!!

I had moved one of my plants closer to my LED fixture... I should have up-potted, and used less perlite.... it was thriving until I got it closer.... I think the extra energy made her drink more and the pot isn’t sufficient to feed her at that level... moved her back down (away from the light). Losing weight cuz I was lazy!! Not great...

day 34 - other plants are gaining weight, pretty dramatic... loving this LED light!

Exciting this grow because I didn’t have large colas my first grow... I super cropped way to late while flowering, so didn’t get big stacking buds.... this time around I don’t have the same kind of canopy and number of tops.... but I’m hoping to get similar weight... my favourite plant is my mandarin cookies in coco under the LED:

Beautiful work Opar! I looked at your November harvest and Wow! Like a pro you grow, and in 3 mediums. Nice and frosty!

Thanks stoneotter! Even though it’s legal here in Canada now, I still don’t share my growing experience with hardly anyone, so this forum has been amazing...Well, even therapeutic... :) I’m one of those guys who gets almost giddy talking about stuff, whether it’s food, or growing Cannabis :)

same. That’s my main reason for being here. My wife was like you need to find somebody more passionate about cannabis you can talk to. She supports my hobby but doesn’t want to talk about it as much as I do.
