One male outta 8

I started my bud cycle a week ago today. I'm pretty sure that 7 of my plants are female, and I started from seed. Not to sure yet though cuz only little signs of sex, but the male that I did find had balls close to the top and just under the top. I hope that they turn out to be girls. I know that it takes up to 3weeks to show flowers, but why did this one plant show sex before the others???

some strains take 1-2 weeks to sex, others taka longer..
just really depends on what your working with.,
