State and federal authorities have shut down a mail-order marijuana shipping operation. Mark Woodward, Spokesman for the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics, says two Oklahoma City men are in custody, as well as two men from Iowa for using the postal system to traffic drugs.
Woodward says authorities became aware of the activity when Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) discovered packages of marijuana during a random check in Dallas.
“ICE agents recently performed a routine inspection of international mail that had arrived at a postal center in Dallas.
They opened two packages of what was listed as coffee and found approximately 38 pounds of marijuana concealed inside.” ---Mark Woodward, OBN Spokesman
