Military and overseas voters from Ohio will soon get their absentee ballots containing updated wording about a marijuana legalization proposal.

Elections officials were to start mailing absentee ballots Saturday to military and overseas voters who have asked for one. Early voting for others begins Oct. 6.

Secretary of State Jon Husted has said about 230 ballots will be sent this weekend.

The Nov. 3 election includes three statewide ballot initiatives.

One would let people 21 and older buy marijuana for medicinal or recreational use. The state's Ballot Board met Friday to rewrite the pot proposal's ballot wording after the state Supreme Court ruled it was misleading.

A separate ballot issue seeks to ban monopolies and cartels in Ohio's constitution. Another would overhaul how state legislative districts are drawn.
