Odd smell coming from leaves?

I am 1 week into flowering and it smells like rotten eggs sort of. I think its coming from the leaves. I have them intertwined in a scrog and have been cutting a lot of fan leaves off recently. I have had a similar smell before and it was due to a extremely low pH and it was burning the roots, but in this case the roots seem fine but the smell is coming from the leaves themselves. Any ideas as to why this would be occurring?

It seem that the smell is only when the lights are on.

are you growing chem dog, cheese, or cat piss it just might be the strain? what are you feeding them? whats your grow med.
