Nutrient Question, watering every second day

Hi fellow 420'ers. I am currently feeding the recommended 3 ml per litre of Canna Coco, I give each plant nearly 2L of water (just short of running out the bottom) every second day. However the instructions say that I should be watering twice per day with that amount (or 5L per square metre per day) but that would just mean half was wasted. Does this mean that in fact I should be feeding four times the nutrients? The plants are almost dry when I water every second day. I used to be at 1L per day then upped it two weeks ago as they were drying out too quickly.

So currently

Every two days, at 3 ml/L

Instructions say

Twice per day at 3 ml/L

Should I be

Every two days at 12 ml/L

if it aint broke dont fix it your plants dont look broken so I would say just keep doing what you have been
