Here's a quick timeline of my White Widow, which had a close call with nitrogen in its early days. I wasn't aware of the dangers of enriched soil at the time, but I got it figured it out before transplant, so I amended it by diluting it with cheaper, run-of-the-mill dollar store soil and it responded with some full, luscious growth. LST was started shortly after transplant and the branching at the lower nodes can be easily seen. The upper branching has yet to show through the foliage.
My next WWs are going into an organic mixture using salmon compost that we make at the hatchery where I work, along with other things. The guys up there use it for vegetables and their harvests are incredible!
