Nute question relating to AutoFlower Strain-Big Devil

So, I fed half strength nutes this morning to my AF's and came home this evening to see them nute burned pretty bad. So, I flushed them and will post pictures tomorrow. All the data is on my grow journal. I have not had this problem before with other AF strains (first time growing this one). Do AF's need less nutes then standard flowering plants? Once they recover, I will cut the nutes to 1/4 strength.. but after what I just saw I am a little concerned to do even that. Any comments would be great

any luck with help on the nutes? Looking to start my Automaria II grow soon and having the same question, also just trying to find a good soil base & a watering schedule as I was originally fixed on going hydro, thanks!
