Hello, I am very new to growing as this is my first grow and I am in my 9th week of flower. I got bees seeds from a friend of ours out in Cali and I was told they were Blackwater Kush. Can anyone take a look at these pictures and tell me what you think? They look like different strains to me but since I'm new I may be wrong. Thanks for any help you can give!

They are probably different phenotypes of the same strain.
I think old salt is right. You’ve done an excellent job though! They look really good, and damn near ready if not completely ready.

So I went out to check them this morning and noticed on the smaller plant that the leaves are turning purple near the top. Is that something that's normal so close to harvest time?

Also the leaves will change during the fade out.. just like other plants in the fall

I've been trying to keep an eye on the trichomes colors but they seem to vary a lot. I'm at almost 9 weeks so I would think that I'm in that Harvest window. But I have noticed that there are still some clear trichomes although I see milky and Amber ones as well. Do the plants look like they are ready to you?
They look pretty good to me... have they slowed down on water intake?

Yes very much so over the past few days. I thought maybe it was because it's been a little cooler and cloudy but they were drinking a lot and then it just stopped
Nah it’s cause they’re finishing up. Do you check the actually calyxes when you look at trichomes? Or are you looking at the sugar leaves?

I've looked at both.
Sugar leaves tend to get amber sooner than the calyxes.
