I dropped the ball in transition to bloom, wasn't a complete loss (outdoor) used by monterey for caterpillar , now cat problem but the Bt BURNED some plants! Ugh, I went overboard on nutes, so I know my mistakes. I have 4- 5gal hydro indoor 600w led setup I'm really confident in, it's dwc, but I ran a trial run and it went great. To the point,
MY QUESTION IS: what can I expect the monthly cost for electricity for 600w led; 18 on for veg then of course 12/12 at end. ANYONE WITH A BALLPARK FIGURE WILL BE HELPFUL. Live in call it's $0.12/kw/h

That's easy enough. Divide the total cost of your bill by the amount of kwh used to get the true cost of your power.

Here in Alberta we get one charge for the power that's around 9.7¢/kwh but then they tack on all these other charges that are often much more than the cost for power so mine works out to 23.5¢/kwh. :(

Your 600w LED uses less than 600w so check out the label on it to get the true draw from the wall.

Say it says 200w. So you take that and do a little simple math. 200w = 0.2kwh

0.2kwh x 18hrs x $0.12 x 30days = $12.36/mth. Just change the hours to get cost while doing 12/12.

Dirt f'n cheap compared to my real 600w HPS but I bet my 600w Hortilux Super HPS light gives me twice as much good light at least but still really expensive to run at my costs.

How many plants would/can you flower with that fixture?

Like everything it depends on the size of the plants but does a 4x4ft area really good on it's own and I have a Light Rail 4.0® to get even more coverage. I have 3 of those 600s with Hortilux bulbs and a metal halide conversion bulb as well. 2 x 1000W with more Horts HPS bulbs, 3 x 400w HPS with more Horts and 1 x 400wMH ballasts with bulbs. Bunch of smaller stuff like a DIY bank of 8 x 4' T-12s and an 11 bulb DIY LED fixture. Seems to keep piling up. :)

I got hold of 8 - 9L square put that fit 25 inside a 4x4 space with inches to spare. I'm going to buy a bunch more and try a 25 plant SoG with them. I'll build a big tray out of 1x4s and line it with plastic so I can mass water them by flooding the tray and let them suck it up. Shop vac out any leftover if there is some.
