Nonproliferative Diabetic Retinopathy

I am looking into the treatment of Nonproliferative diabetic retinopathy with RSO. Is there any information specific to the treatment of this ailment? I have searched everywhere and came up dry so, any info directly related to this issue would be greatly appreciated. Also I have the idea stuck in my head that there may be a way to refine RSO into an eye drop solution for direct treatment of this ailment, rather than taking RSO orally. Any comments about this topic would be helpful.
