Tomators grow at least few flowers on the stem. If you have pomodorini then you're gonna get even more. Tomatoes are triggered into fruit production by temps and potassium levels. What you have on your tomatoes, this black growth, is a common funghal disease promoted by wind and humidity. There are products to supress it, but I am an organic grower and I prefer to cut it out after I too them off the bushel.
