The names of licensed medical marijuana producers in New Mexico will go public under new rules that take effect next week.
The New Mexico Department of Health announced Monday it will post the names after a lawsuit argued keeping them secret violated public records law.
The agency had argued confidentiality rules were necessary for the security of producers and patients.
Only the names of producers and those applying to become producers will be posted, not the names of medical marijuana patients.
