A bit of $10 fun! Having seen how my interested to see if the roots have made it through the airgap yet. My other sips all did but all much smaller - solos and a 5g bucket.
Loved those cartoon versions of that meme. Epic
Below one of her sister popped the same day. Was always a different pheno type. She’s at about 160cm from the dirt. 3-4 weeks out.

I wonder how many solos I could get in the main room? I could squeeze another light in. Do probably 4 per tray x 21 plus some randoms. Get to 100 I reckon

Day #35 Since Up Pot/Outdoor
She’s def kicked on finally since the move to this balcony. Even with the fairly cloudy weather and frequent rain. Feels like there’s loads still in the res - but that’s a solid inch in day.
I think not sure. What do I think?

6 minutes ain’t gonna help much! But ai can stop switching on the house lights when I want. Anything more is going to be a real pain - expensive or a pain to do properly every day or keep in place during the odd summer storm.
If she goes on a tear in the next week then maybe worth trying to flip then. 2-3 weeks tops I reckon. I’ve downsized my dreams of a full hedge but she has the look of a very pretty plant. Nice spacing on the nodes top to tail. Aiming for a January harvest. 2 months of flower. Maybe a smidge more.

I guess for old times sakes I shouldn’t flip until she’s 5ft.
Not sure he’s still reading but my previous DoSiDos Rocketas I had out there I said to Shed I’d flip at 5ft. I missed by 2” or something and then a storm blew through and killed her. To be fair she was on life support already

Another inch. An unfair inch, reckon I could be more generous but at stem level (not leaf level which is higher) 31”

Sun shine after the rain… 21” to go. I was being a bit harsh with my earlier measurements I guess.

The scholars of this grow amongst you, I think that means just Azi I’m speaking to might remember I popped four of these Red Hot Cookies that have a 60% chance of showing red. Two had purple stems as sprouts and as purple is actually the colour that gives the red I chose one of those for this here SIP. 2 (one of each) are vegging away downstairs. And one a non purple showing one went in the main grow.
She’s starting to show red
Different pheno though. So lanky and always a wider node spacing.
What does this mean? Bugger all I reckon. Still got a 60% shot of red on this one, right?
Reminds me - she’s def worth a clone. Lovely structure.
Also - ping pong balls? Yeah but no. Orange is pretty though, no? @Trala you ever deal with a ping pong ball injury? Apparently quite common in Bangkok though tends to present i. Different areas depending on sex.
Anyway the old stick down a hole trick reveals that the res is about half done. I topped to full about two weeks ago and we spilt a little in transit but that's I guess a couple of litres a day. Plus extensive top watering from all the rain.
Reckon she’s in the early throes of mentalist mode. Gonna let her drain out and stress a little a la Azi style. Because they’re a bastard like that and I aspire to be so too

So Ive had an idea on how to flip her.
Sorta natural.
I reckon @Bill284 might get me. Who knows though, a man with a beard that big and treating every day like he’s full Indiana Jones in the jungle?
Right this isn’t gonna cost be too much extra money. Few bucks. I’m gonna up the light intensity of the overnight lights. More powerful spots than we have now.
For say 10 days.
I want two things.
#1 She actually grows rather than stays in non flower stasis as is designed at the moment. I want to super charge her with expected light value.
#2 I don’t want to have to keep my doors where I sit and watch TV and work closed with the curtains drawn.
So I’m thinking I’m gonna ramp the plants “Expected Light Input” (I just made that up, obvs) greedy gannet she is she’ll love it.
When I stop switching them on at 5pm she’ll crash and flip BUT bonus / the soft light from my TV or the street lights will be built in to her memory.
“Yeah that light was there already but the summer light is gone, oh well, I’ll get my baps out”
I mean - to be honest its the best I got. I’m too lazy to wrap her up each night and unwrap in the morning.
Plus it sounds like science, right?

I have an “artificial” outdoor plant controlling her with just balcony lights. I’m gonna give her an extra dose of light and tease her - then switch it off and the background light she won’t notice.
Lets see. I don’t need anymore seeds for sure!

That is exactly what I wanted. & Co done well - though my Amex back in my pocket (its got no PIN and my name on but she seems to use like it ain’t no thing
) about $20. Gonna blast her with it for a week and then switch it off and all being well she’ll flip.

But its an outdoor organic grow.
Lazy as massive SIP.
