Nick Hardy's Skunk Works #2 The Giant SIP Outdoor Soil: Thailand!

Not done yet.

Gonna decide at dusk.

Its interesting. Gonna leave until tomorrow. & Co wants a monster clone off it.

The lower bits have lots of potential but then so do the uppers!

We, as I said, don’t count the nodes but then & Co did because I told her last year plus 4th.

We got options for sure - this is a NH plant not hers or shared so ai’ll call it.

She’s probably 30” plus (more like 3 feet) already. Hopefully the photos give more sense of scale!

Nick & L - terrifying my parents on a video call the last hour or so! 😂

Is it meant to be diatomaceous earth? Nick's typos are legendary
Yeah that stuff!

My iOS phone hates me because I’ve had autocorrect off for 8 years. Now it won’t autocorrect my own name!

But for day job work I need precision so its off auto

I don't understand this. If it's off, you need to re-read everything you type to make sure it's correct. If it's on, you need to re-read everything you type to make sure it's correct. But the odds are better (having read your posts) that you'll have fewer corrections to make if autocorrect is on.

I'm butting in here I know. I understood him to say that he needs it off so that Autocorrect doesn't change his computer lingo to English gobbledygook. That has to be precise and he'd double check it anyway I would think.

Half the fun of reading what Nick writes is guessing what he's saying sometimes

Am I correct this time? lol

Use powershell much?

Carmen nailed it.

I have once over an RDP session don’t recommend it!

But I do go back over my day job emails - there is a certain freedom to not always bitherring (sic/sp) here. Helps me differentiate between work - “a’im” also is easily searchable. I like that. I never write that for work.

Seems a bit stally but the ravages of the end of monsoon season they rode out. Not done anything but a bit of borehole water.

Worried about her so threw her out on the SW - NNW balcony. Brutal sun in the tropic. Oh and bought 12m of one way reflective glass for the balcony windows so I can flip her at some point.

Oh there’s some fish weights there for training. Might get that done tomorrow.

Oh and airholes. Get one the kids drill some airholes tomorrow.

Legit Eames or knockoff?
They’re out of patent/copyright now. The Herman Miller “official” version was about $9000 last I looked. Its not one of them!

There are different grades - I have a furniture QC company as a client, we actually moved here from HK about the same time. He has a teak furniture business as well, made my coffee table I work from also pictured.

He paid about $1000 for his and isn’t so happy. I paid umm more than that! But having run his eyes and hands over mine he reckons its perfect. Made in Malaysia to order, top end leather. No $5-6000 Herman Miller premium!

I spend about 12 hours a day in it sometimes more so its very worth it!

Brix at the moment. She is a bit light coloured (not like the photo - that’s just she’s under the house LEDs to keep her vegging) but she has kicked on since we moved her. Way more light. Storm this morning and she was fine. Wind has changed for sure. Monsoon def closing out on time.

I have another Red Hot Cookies in flower already. Full synthetic grow. I’ll test her tomorrow.

@Jon @Gee64 been throwing around some numbers. 12%+ at this stage ai think is the consensus?

@Wastei is less convinced of its relevance

I think its of use but a healthy looking plant will always have a good brix score. Its of more interest to other types of food safe industries. Confectionary for example.

I don’t think its true that organic will always score higher brix, for sure. A healthy plant is a healthy plant how ever you arrive there.

My 2c’s

Nick
