Yeah I don't regret it yet. The heat stress is spreading despite misting often. Not often enough though I think. Humidifier arrives tomorrow. $15 6” Inline arrives day after. Those two arrive and it will be fine. Sure of it. But yeah I could swap back to my little 320W LED and be OK in 24 hours and just run them out to flower and harvest with minimal input. But there’s not much challenge to that.

Down to sweet 16 in there. The Tropicana Poison is back with her fellow clones in the veg tent. She can gonin the main grow when she’s recovered. She was just too small to go in there really. The pythium afflicted Hulkberry is out. I’ll be sure to keep the Solo SIP for another day. I’m not going to replace them - the spares are already in 1 gallons and are going in the main grow and I need a bit more space for the mister.

Just need to coax them through the next two days. Maybe turn off the CMH. Decide in the morning.

I like that your not giving up on the HID's! Turning off the CMH is one way to go! Have you considered running CMH with a mix of LED? Best of both worlds in my mind and you could probably dim the LED down somewhat if you have to.
 
I did but not sure on spacing.

The main grow flower room I was thinking of popping the spare (it was two per item minimum from the factory) so I ended up with two HPS and two CMH - thinking that spare double ender might work as supplemental to the 2200w of LEDs I have in there 😂

ThenI realised I need to sell some weed to pay my electricity bill!

The lights would be no problem in that room. If its ever finished. Fine. steal half a kilo of my weed Mr builder guys - finish the job first, though, eh?

480w LED in a 4x4 is probably the most ideal in terms of electricity costs, yield and potency. You never really use a 650w LED panel to it's full potential with a 4x4 footprint and 95" 240cm ceiling. People usually have even lower ceilings than that.

Ha! Possible Exception?: GGTs have one and two foot extension pieces you can get. It’s why my 5x5 is 9’ tall. Seems to me if you extended the ceiling you could make good with a 650 in a 4x4, no?
 
I’d run one of my Mars FC6500’s in a 4x4x8 but def no driver in the tent and hung nearly touching the roof. The bars run so cool plants rest on them with no burn.

Their FC4800 would probably yield nearly as good - not so sure the FCE 48/6500 they have annoying FYI cabling and they visably look dimmer, we have two for the 8x4 veg tent. Now I have this cooling and irrigation system down there I guess I could flower in the there but would mean vegging the next grow in situ upstairs.

You're better of with a 5x5, you need it to spread a 650w optimally IMO. Only way to push it further is with added CO2 under smaller footprints/ceilings with real CO2 tanks or propane burners, not the CO2 mushroom bag nonsense! Cheers!

That’s what I’m talking about. No driver in the tent and hook it right to the ceiling. Max that vertical space.

I miss that room. They’re promise promise they’re coming tomorrow to finish it. Plants are nearly ready. 20 princesses. In real pots. 5 gallon pots.

Had the door of the tent open all day today. Does this now count as an outdoor grow? Grow with HPS and the sun!

Going to flush the SIP res and mediums out with H2O2 in a moment. There’s more than heat stress. I didn’t mention but about three days ago I probably fed them twice with Ph6.4 and 2.6EC The lattwr not too bothered about. Think one of the Slurricanes protested a bit. I think it offended the SIPs more and root lock is setting in. Pythiun inbound.

i’ll run a load of pool water (HPeroxide) though them.

You can see the burn there. My bad. But my sense is there is a secondary problem. I blasted them through with H2o2 infused water and tucked then back up in bed.

Humidifier not arrived and likely never will. One of the local courier firms has failed to deliver to us like 5 times in a row in the last month. The amazon equiv here just keeps saying sorry instead of firing them. Means I have to order another one (its $15 for a 3L Phillips one online - $45 in the shop) which means Saturday.

I may also actually be overwatering the SIPs. All that foliar watering when I mist?
The airpots won’t care. SIPs might?

The humidifier is primarily for temp control. The inline might arrive tomorrow. Then I’m going to nail the AC setup. The hummie becomes less necessary as I’m flipping by Sunday. Harvesting some in 8 weeks all being well. Buds and stretch and smells of sweet sweet flower.

I've heard folks say if they get fed by their leaves they get used to it and develop less roots to get the job done. A little moisture probable won't bother them now and then IMO.

The carport is 80% covered roof wise. 50% solid wall to ceiling. 25% barred/wall 25% low - 5ft wall.

At about 10:30am with the garage door open and the gap above it I reckon they def get some direct sunlight with the tent door open. Maybe like a couple of minutes from the garage door and a couple more from the gap between the door and the balcony above (Outdoor SIP balcony) south facing.

But yeah its an indoor grow!

Solved the temp/Rh issue. Running perfect now.

Simple really. I just put the sensor at pallet level under the canopy 😂

They would be getting some real sunlight the last two days. The photo is taken with my back to the open tent door. I can feel the heat on my back. Forgot the gap in the door.

We’re either defoliating at 11pm or in the morning. 40 minutes or so.

Be good to get some order in there. Her Royal & Co just indicated its tomorrow morning. Problem GG is drinking more normally now and seems to have stabilised if not improved yet.

I think I can do it temp/Rh in flower now. I need to take my light proofing a bit more seriously. Not really had that issue before. Will do that with the new inline install tomorrow I hope.

Stage one of HVAV redesign achieved.

Defoliated. Trained a few. Cleaned the irrigation system. Need to add the nute addition for that today.

Photo dump. I had a fight with a snake (I won) then immediately after I had a fight with a 220v live cable (hmm I probably won but it hurts and & Co was nearly crying 🥲) In the process of that I then knocked over the tray of seedling I put in dirt yesterday 😆
