Hi! I am new to growing but I have found some very helpful and interesting information on this site.

I recently purchased a budgetLED that has a flowering footprint of 3x3 so am in serach of a 3x3 tent. When I go looking for one there are sooo many options that I have no clue where to begin. I would like to keep it as cheap as possible as I spent 400$ on the light but also want something that is actually refelctive and beneficial to growing. Somebody mentioned Gorilla grow tents but at 300$ it's high priced and I am unsure even if money wasn't brought into the picture that I would spend that much on a tent. I would rather build the space, unfortunately that isn't feasible in my current space. So the question is what is a good tent that is worth the price?

I probably posted this in the wrong place but I am unsure where to put it so sorry for any inconvience.

High you guys ? Welcome. I'd go with a 4' x 4' tent for that light. You always need room for extra equipment at some point or another. Mars Hydro has decent tents for a fair price. @SmokeSara is the Mars Hydro sponsor here. She'll pop in & make some suggestions for you since I tagged her.

I took a look at the "read this new Members" as I was trying to be respectful of the blog area. But sometimes I just don't get it or can't find it(the correct place to post questions) LOL.

I also looked at sponsers but I will take a closer look today. The only tent sponser I saw was Gorilla but I am known to be blind so as I said I will look again.

Thanks for the greetings!

Sorry I replied twice. I just realized it's the same person and I can't figure out how to delete it... I just woke up =]

The Mars Hydro Tents are with the Mars Hydro Lights on the sponsor page. Just keep in mind the 600 D or 1680 D Material when you consider price. A 600 D will rip easier & the zippers tend to not be as good.

Nope not high but thanks for the greeting!

The company says 3x3 for flowering so I will get a 3x3. I was going to get a 2x2 but after reading about the light (I couldn't find reviews at first but I just bought it anyways) I have figured out that this company does not inflate numbers plus after doing some measurements a 3x3 makes better sense. While I don't need more than one plant for myself it will make moving around in the tent eaiser and I would like to try my hand at some LST and HST so having more than one plant is ideal in case I kill one. Also I like my sativas but they are big bushy monsters. So I am hoping that tying her down and spreading her out will be enough to compensate for having a shorter plant.

I was/am looking at Spider Farmer and Mars Hydro tents as this is what is in my price(the top end) range so I will keep an eye on this to see if @SmokeSara coes to say hi. The 3x3 from Mars is 39x39, while I doubt three inches will have any strong negative effect on the light I want to get both companies input(tent and light).

I am looking at 1680D for that reason, plus light leaks. I will check for these before each grow also. Also Mars has the diamond mylar so that is also a HUGE plus imo.

Welcome. A good place to ask questions would be frequently asked questions
The are loads of good people here that'll point you in the right direction. I hear the gorilla tents are good. If you check out the sponsor page there is loads of goodies there.
And lastly welcome from the states. I'm on the eastern side of states

Yeah I found this site super helpful and very informative. I really like how everyone seems to have valuable/helpful input. I already bookmarked the FAQ so I can get to them faster when I need to ask questions. I also have a few sponser pages open. If I can find a discount code for Gorilla that brings them down around Mars Hydro pricing I will get one of those but rn I am waiting on input from both companies about the light I have in the Mars Hydro 39x39. I assume three inches won't negatively effect the light but I would hate to buy it and have to send it back.

Also I bookmarked your plant abuse link a few weeks before signing up. Thanks for the helpful information in that!

Thanks for the greets! I live in Cali.

With most lights a 3' x 3' Flower means a 4' x 4' Veg footprint. I've used 2 Mars Hydro TSW 2000's in a 4' x 8' room on 3 plants with great success. 1 plant 9.4 oz., 1 plant 10.5 oz. & 1 plant 11.1 oz.
My lights say 3' x 3' Flower & 4' x 4' Veg. too so a 39" x 39" would be no problem.

Yes, the light is 3x3 flower and 4x4 veg. Those are some nice yeilds for sure! I am probably going to get that 39x39 from Mars but like I said I am curious as to what the companies are going to say. I seriously doubt three inches is going to make any difference. I wish I had room for a grow room but in my current living situation it is not practical =[
